Tuka Karve’s creative inspirations were nurtured in the idyllic rural village of Salunkwadi, Maharashtra. His talent was extraordinary and attention grabbing even in his smoky little village. When ready for college, his tiny village could hold him no longer and he moved to complete his Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) from Aurangabad University. Thereafter, the Mumbai.The initiation into the world of advertising in Mumbai was not smooth. The tough days did not break his love for art and photography. Lights and colors continued to lead his passion and profession. His creative genius has enabled him to straddle the inspiration from his roots with the urban world. He has used the technology advances to combine and create unique pieces of art.
Today he finds his peace behind the camera and has risen above the ordinary. Capturing the unusualand seeing the unseen… his work stands apart for its style. Tuka Karve is a person close to earth and a soul filled with art.
He was the Mumbai city winner of Worldwide Photo Walk 2008. He has had three exhibitions in the last 2 years and is working for his next exhibition.
He is currently based in Mumbai, with his wife, son and daughter.
